We advise clients on commercial and contractual matters from procurement through project delivery and dispute resolution. Engagements range from advice on a specific issue to ongoing support for project teams.
01
We advise on contract selection, preparation and administration. For NEC4 projects, this includes the procedures, project controls and governance needed to put the contract into practice. Depending on the assignment, the work may include a contract review with recommended amendments, revised project procedures or advice on a specific commercial issue.
02
We help project teams address emerging disagreements before they escalate. Where a dispute has arisen, we assess the contractual position, supporting records and options for resolution. Our work can include a claims assessment, preparation of a claim or response, or support for negotiation and formal proceedings. Separately, we accept appointments as independent adjudicators, arbitrators, mediators and experts.
03
An independent review can be useful before mobilisation, at a project milestone or when commercial or delivery concerns emerge. We examine contract administration, project controls and governance. The scope can include a written findings report and an action plan identifying priorities, responsibilities and follow-up dates.
04
We provide courses, workshops and support for teams administering construction contracts. The content is agreed around participants’ roles, experience and project responsibilities. An assignment may combine a training plan, sessions using project scenarios, and follow-up work on the team’s procedures and records.
